Class Description
One of the key components in herbal practice is formulation. This combines an understanding of a patient’s condition (symptoms, diagnosis, etc.) and a working knowledge of the plants used in treatment. In this class we will cover strategies to formulate and use case studies as examples of this often complex process.
About the Teacher
7Song has been interested in plants for a long time (though not nearly as long as his interest in reptiles and amphibians). He went to his first herb school in 1981 (the oddly named Platonic Academy of Herbal Studies in Santa Cruz, CA) and has been diligently studying the medicinal and botanical aspects of plants ever since. He started the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine in 1994 and has been a clinic herbalist at the Ithaca Free Clinic for 17 years. He appreciates all the support he had been given over these many years.
